Our Club participated in the ICM (Interact and Club Meeting) on Cerebral Palsy and Down Syndrome, organized by the District Committee on Cerebral Palsy and Down Syndrome for the year 2024-25. This program was supported by the Self Help Group for Cerebral Palsy, Nepal, and hosted by various Rotary Clubs including RC Biratnagar, RC Midtown, RC Biratnagar Downtown, RC Biratnagar Central, RC Biratnagar Fusion, and RC Patan Durbar Square.

The program was coordinated by our Charter President, Rtn. Dr. Mamta Verma, and Past President, Rtn. Rachna Rathi, who is also the co-chair of the District Committee on Cerebral Palsy. The distinguished speakers included Dr. Bernhardt Schmidt from Switzerland, Dr. Pragya Rajbhandari, Director of SGCP in Kathmandu and co-chair of the District Committee, and Dr. Mamta Verma.

This seminar offered valuable insights into the current situation and the real data surrounding cerebral palsy. The perceptive presentations from the speakers significantly improved the understanding of this issue among all participating Rotarians, deepening our awareness of the challenges faced by individuals with cerebral palsy and Down syndrome.
